Thank you for your reply.
In the absence of floaters or flashes, your symptom suggests more of temporary dry cornea, mostly from temporary exposure/irritation during sleep. In such cases, it often takes several blinking to properly re-wet the cornea for better focusing. Yes, this can happen is a short time. Normally, during the walking hours we blink approximately every 10 seconds in order to re-wetting or keep our cornea moisted. However, if this re-occurs, then I would suggest that you follow-up with you eye doctor for closer evaluation. On the hand, it would not hurt anything if for your inform your eye doctor about this incident, and schedule an appointment for dilated eye exam to exclude any problem with the retina or vitreous. I trust, however, that your are in no trouble, and that you will do well.
