Customer Question

Hi, i'm 47yr old female. I have swollen, puffy, achy eyelids. They appear to get worse when I sleep more. My mother and her father had the same. I also will 'cry' at the slightest breeze or even just walking fast can cause it... I am very fit (triathlons, rowing etc.) and eat a well balanced diet with plenty of fresh fruit and veg. Two things I would admit - I probably don't drink enough water and I do drink alcohol regularly, but only red wine. I have no known allergies and am on no medication.

Puffiness could be due to alcohol. However, I would advise you to rue out meibomitis and blepharitis by seeing an ophthalmologist as these 2 conditions can also be contributing to it. You can use a lubricating eye drop like Refresh Tears 3-4 times a day and also apply an eye ointment like Tetracaine at bedtime. Thanks.
