I understand that currently the law states 10 years of residence in Spain to obtain citizenship, however his stay was during the 60s and 70s, which citizenship requirements was different. Can this make him eligible to apply for citizenship?

I as you need to have the residence when you ask for the nationality, if you lose the residence you lose the chance

Thank you
