You would need a Trusts & Estate Attorney. If there is a Will, the named executor would probate it. Also, you would want to check the property records to see whose name is actually on the deed. Usually, an attorney would have a password to ACRIS. If you are your brother are the heirs and someone else is the executor, an attorney could write a letter or contact the executor or the executor's attorney about the status of the estate.
You would hire your own attorney. An attorney for the executor of the estate represents the executor. A beneficiary would have his or her own attorney. Both brothers can have the same attorney as beneficiaries.
