You have no legal obligation to provide your spouse's children with an update on his care if you do not want to, nor do they get to tell you where you may take him for treatment or where he can stay.
You have the advance directive and power of attorney, so as you likely already know, are the person making decisions for your husband if he is not able to do so. The children could try to get your husband to execute new documents giving them authority, but he would have to be competent enough to do so and understand what he was signing. Alternatively, they could attempt to get guardianship of your spouse, which would override the power of attorney and advance directive, but I honestly think that's unlikely to happen unless they can prove that your husband is being abused or neglected.
