So long as the party drafting the document is using it for themselves, they are free to draft their own documents as that is not providing legal services to others.
CA even allows a person to act in a self represented capacity (in pro persona) in front of a judge/jury.
Here is a fillable form for the advanced directive that may come in handy as well!
