My grandfather left a cottage in a will to my sister and I

Customer Question

My grandfather left a cottage in a will to my sister and I to "share and share alike". I was a minor my sister was 18. She moved in to the cottage and then sold it. This happened 20 years ago. I was told nothing was left to me. Events have led me to find out differently and I now have the will in my position. Is there anything at all that can be done? The cottage is in Massachusetts.
JA: What documents or supporting evidence do you have?

Thank you for using JustAnswer.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. Can you tell me how old you were at the time (as the age might have an implication for statute of limitations purposes)? Do you happen to know if the will was ever probated?
