My husband and I signed a prenup when we got married 26

Customer Question

My husband and I signed a prenup when we got married 26 years ago. Basically it states that whatever we started our marriage that is what the kids get. anything before the marriage or inheritance goes to the surviving children as this is our 2nd marriage whcih I'm in agreement. My question though is, his sister passed away leaving my husband a huge amount of money which she left in both our names. My question is since I signed a pre-nup am I not entitled to this inheritance.
JA: Are there any minor children from the relationship? Who has legal custody?
Customer: All of our children are grown and we have 6 grandchildren one of which we have legal custody right now. He is 10.
JA: Because laws vary based on location, what state are you in?
Customer: Kansas...his sister resided in Nevada
JA: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: Is this a free service
JA: The lawyer's require payment for their services. It's way less expensive on JustAnswer than face-to-face would cost.
Customer: Ill ask my brother in law first..Thank you
