Customer Question

My dad died at age 96 last November. He was retired 36 years and received a Disabilty
And pension. He got statements every year which told him exactly what his payment
Would be for the next year. His employer sent us a letter last month and said that
They had mistakenly overpaid him $106000 and want the estate to recoup. Can they do
This? We have all his records which show he received exactly what they said he would
Receive. Is there a statute of limitations? Are his heirs liable for his former company's
Mistake... If there even was one? My dad died November 10 2015...,.The letter was
Dated August 20th 2016.
