IN TEXAS WHEN I DIE IS MY SON OR MY ESTATE RESPONSIBLE DEBTS

Customer Question

IN TEXAS WHEN I DIE IS MY SON OR MY ESTATE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DEBTS I HAVE UPON DEATH

Hello,

In Texas, when you die, your estate is responsible for your debts, not your children. Now, if you give away huge assets just prior to your death in order to defeat your creditors, then they may be able to go after those assets, but in general, only you and your estate is responsible for your debts.

I hope this helps.
