Can a lawyer hold a deceased estate funds in their trust fund

Customer Question

Can a lawyer hold a deceased estate funds in their trust fund against the direct instructions to distribute the funds by the Executor and sole beneficiary?
I have allowed an amount to remain to cover any associated tax liabilities which in my opinion is sufficient to cover these costs.

Good afternoon. My name is ***** ***** I look forward to helping you. Can you provide me a bit more information? On what basis is the lawyer holding these funds? And, what caused them to go to the lawyer in the first place? Thanks.
