my mother has been a probate court ordered ward of the state of conn since 2012. she will probably expire by Friday. cremation costs will be appox.$3900. her state conservator said she will receive 1400 toward her final costs. am I legally responsible
for the difference?

I am truly sorry for this dilemma. But I'm not sure I understand what you mean by are you responsible for the remaining bill; have you contracted with the funeral home for the services?
