My father has passed away and I want to put a lien on his
Hello, my father has passed away and I want to put a lien on his home which is part of his estate for in-home care services I provided for my invalid mother. My deceased mother had a long-term care policy of which her first claim was wrongfully denied. The burden was therefore put on me to be her care taker for 407 days. I sued the insurance company for $86,487.50 resulting in the insurance company settling out of court for $56,000 on 3-3-20. Therefore, he had initiated changing the will with his law firm, but couldn't go in and sign because of COVID-19. Sadly, he passed away on April 8th. Since I have an invoice I submitted to the insurance company, I now want to put a lien on my father's house which is part of his estate. … read more
