Good day, I want to know the best way for me to get a record

This answer was rated:

Good day,
I want to know the best way for me to get a record producer to produce my record. I have many songs that I wrote. I am ready to pay for them to be recorded if I can find affordable producer or get somebody to produce it normally.
Where are you located?

Have you registered your copyrights?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

No I have not registered my copyrights. I am in Connecticut

May I ask which town?

Do you have a copy of This Business of Music?

I do not have this business of music

Are you still interested in finding a producer ?

Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Yes, I am.

If you go to
choose your region, the click on Creative Services and search for "recording" you will find a number of different sized recording studios advertised, including studios that offer production assistance.

It's a Catch 22. Can't get a demo without a producer and can't get a producer without a demo.

But now a literal garage band can create a professional quality cd and sell it online at cdbaby or elsewhere.

If you have every tune completely arranged, you should not need a producer, just a recording studio with a good engineer. And you can find studios with Craigslist.

When I searched for "producer" at the Hartford CL I just got all Massachusetts and NY outfits. So producers don't advertise so much. But recording studios do.

I urge you to get a copy of This Business of Music, and please have a look at this, for general information about copyright laws, and this regarding music copyrights.

I hope this information is helpful.
