Hot flashes occur in in almost 75 to 80 percent of women after menopause or during perimenopausal period, and besides Hormonal therapy there are other options also. I can see that you have already mentioned some life style modifications, which if have not helped a lot, then there is more to be done.

Some degree of weight loss (2-4 kg), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), low dose vitamin E (200 mg daily), and hypnosis are the other alternatives.

Regarding drugs, women who do not wish to take hormone therapy can benefit from other non-hormonal therapy which include SSRIs, serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs), antiepileptics and some centrally acting agents.

I am sure non of these work immediately. I can stand them during the day however now at night they are so bad that I am sleep less that 2 hours a night and its not 2 constant hours. There has got to be something that can help right away while those other items are getting into your system.

The drugs which I mentioned start working immediately, with in few days you get maximum results.
