Customer Question

I am a type 2 diabetic, Iwas treated for a bad migraine and they gave me steroids that are making my sugar increasing. It is currently 282 I took 6 units of nuvulog 2 hours ago and it hasn't gone down. I see an endocrinologist and my diabetes is usually very stable. How often should I use rainbow coverage? Should I be concerned it has not gone down

Hello and welcome I'm Dr Chip

No real concern here since in time your sugar will go down but I'd suggest adding another 6 units of the nuvulog in another hour if it hasn't started to drop

Let me know if you need any more information please

How often should I use the rainbow insulin?
Expert:  tazechip replied 9 months ago.

You may not need it for now if the second dose of the nuvulog brings it down

If it doesn't, use the rainbow insulin every 3 hours as needed
