Customer Question

I have recently been advised to go on a low carb diet as my bloodwork came back with high blood glucose and high triglycerides. I have a home glucose monitor and have been testing in the mornings. When consuming my usual high carb diet, my fasting morning reading was anywhere from 120 to 140. Now that I am following a low carb diet, my morning fasting reading has spiked to 175+. I am not sure what to do? What is causing this? Should I stop following a low carb diet?

No symptoms.

THEN THIS IS DEFINITELY NOTE KETOACIDOSIS.

KETOACIDOSIS IS ASSOCIATED WITH symptoms like dizzness , palpitations , sweating .

The low carb diet is not causing this.

What is your HB 1 AC level ?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
7.2 but that was before starting the low carb diet. I am not sure what it is now.
Expert:  Dr. Pravin replied 1 year ago.

Ok , try and get your HB A1C below 6.

The high sugar levels will need to be checked at least 3 days in the week to get the average.
