Hi there,

This is Dr Basu, experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.

I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.

Your TSH level is normal.

The thyroid hormone levels are also normal.

However, thyroid antibodies thyroglobulin and thyroid peroxidase are elevated.

That suggest you have autoimmune thyroiditis or Hashimoto's disease.

The immune system is gradually attacking your thyroid gland and destroying it.

That can lead to the hypothyroidism over time.

So, although your thyroid hormone and TSH level normal now, they will likely be abnormal over time requiring treatment.

In this case, your thyroid function should be checked every 6 months to monitor thyroid gland.

Symptoms like worsening fatigue, weight gain, coarse skin, constipation should be watched out for.

Best wishes,

It was my pleasure to help you today.
