I need a discrimination attorney. It's a discrimination andMy wife is a PA (Physicians Assistant) she prescribes medication all day everyday, just like a Dr, oxytocin, vicodin, etc.I am diagnosed with anxiety, ADHD, and Bi-polar. I take serequel and Adderall prescribed. I smoke marijuana and that helps with not only my anxiety, but stimulates my appetite so I can actually eat. Due to the Adderall it makes my appetite virtually non-existent when I don't smoke. My wife recommended I look into Merinol. It is one of three FDA approved drugs that are prescribed to stimulate appetite. The other two are Oxadrin and Megace . One hardens your arteries as a side effect, and the other causes blood clots.Merinol is a cannabanoid that has the same side effects as someone who smoked Marijuana. Because we're aware of those side effects and we know they make me eat we decided to talk to my psychologist and psychiatrist about it.They both agreed it was a good alternative and my psychiatrist would have prescribed it herself, but she could not because it was out of her scope of practice and I needed to see a family doctor.I scheduled an appointment yesterday with a Dr. I went to the appointment, and waited for 2 and a half hours to be seen. During that time I witnessed and overhead multiple questionable conversations among the staff relating to their patients of African American decent. When the Dr came in to speak with me. We discussed the other medications on the market, and we agreed that merinol would be thr best option. He wrote a prescription, and we made a follow up appointment for next month.2 hours later I called the pharmacy. The prescription had not yet been received and I know that is peculiar since my wife writes and sends them all day.So I went back to the Dr's office. Asked if my prescription had been sent and was told the Dr was very busy and has to find time to send prescriptions in between patients...No problem.. I understand that... So I said thank you and left..About 30 minutes later I get a call from their office saying the Dr had canceled my prescription because after I left he did a background check and saw I was on probation....Now I am on probation, but it's from a crime that happened over 10 years ago. My probation officer knows that I a smoke marijuana and just passed a UA for her last week. She knows I am seeking a Merinol prescription, and has said from the start just bring her something in writing and there's no problem... Ironically... My PO is not the issue here at all...But the Dr Pulled my background and then canceled my prescription. I am a black man with no drug possession or sales, distribution, or trafficking charges ever....My Adderall qualifies as a schedule II drug, Merinol is a Schedule III. Meaning it is even less restricted. The following day I went back (March 9th) because I rescheduled an appointment to try to speak with the Doctor. His staff was violating HIPPA and I could hear them talking about me in the administration office from almost all the way across the waiting roo..and other patients were there. When we went back into the visiting room. 2 nurses came back and one nurse later known as "Krsiti" seemed extremely combative, and was more than unprotected and borderlined on completely disrespectful. She refused to answer what it was the Doctor told her to say the reason was he had canceled my prescription. Even though she is the one that called and told me what it was that he told her to say. She refused to tell me her name.. She Scoffed at the notion that my I didn't want to put my PO down on their HIPPA form after I had already witnessed them break HIPPA and profile me. Even though my PO would have gladly spoken to them. When the Doctor came in I told him his staff was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful and he should not have let them in. I informed him about the HIPPA violation and he shrugged it off..When asked why he canceled my prescription he gave a contradictory answer to what his nurse s… read more
