Look, I hit wrong button before I finished my question. My husband of 47 years passed end of December.. Because his income always paid for rent, I went there the first week in January and reported he had passed. I provided everything they asked for. I had read that when Survivor spouse reaches full retirement age, she is entitled to 100 percent of deceased's benefit. I continued to receive spouses benefit, and without warning, in June Social Security pulled out all payments from January thru June, the bank put a "hold" on.my account, and now has me owing them close to - if not - over $7,000.00! If they were right, why did they wait all this time to pull that money out?
