I work for a Houston, TX hospital. I was put on probation for six months making three minor mistakes at work. The probation is mostly based on my manager's claim that I do not learn quickly or adjust quickly to new policies. But, I am confident she is just looking for an excuse to fire me because many other employees have made similar mistakes without receiving such harsh punishment. BTW, I am 50 years old. I am not sure if there is law to protect me about not learning fast. I was about to transfer to another department and now I cannot transfer because of this probation.
