Currently work for govt applied for a lateral position transfer to neighboring state due to higher salary listed on USA job posting. The position requires working at 2 facilities in 2 different cities. The informal offer however was about $13,000 less per year than noted on posting I have told them I applied for posting listed for compensation listed on posting. They are stating since 51 percent of my time will be at the lower paying facility that the top pay can only be top pay at that facility. Whereas the top pay at the other facility is substantially more. I was never advised of this until now I fell this is bait and switch scheme. What's the point of wear and tear and travel time if your not even compensated. I have the posting and the letter. I'm waiting for the person who interviews me get back from leave I could also look to union for help. Any other recommendations as need this to be anonymous … read more
