I have one question. HR. At will salaried. I was kind of
Yes i was kind of forced to resign as internal transfer didn't go through and i wasn't interested in continuing in current team as i was feeling harassed.I'm currently on H1b and working with my current employer since Feb-2018. I had an internal offer with another team in my company which was supposed to start on 18th november,2019. My last day on my current team was on 15th November & i was informed around 13th november that new team backed out due to budget issues. My current team told me that 15th my access would get terminated and cannot enter building and that would be my last day. When i checked with HR they said they didn't had anything in the system as 15th my last day. When i discussed with my current team they said if i wanted to continue on the same team they were ok to keep me or else my access would terminate on 15th. I was feeling very harassed in my current team from my line manager so i didn't wanted to continue working, i asked them if i could give 2 weeks notice and leave on good terms. The ED person in room asked my Line Manager if he wanted me for 2 weeks, the Line Manager said no. I requested them on humanitarian grounds if i could give 2 weeks notice , then ED said he'd check with HR and let me know and i was able to give 2 week notice. While on 2 week notice ,one of my old managers gave me an offer with start date but my current team also cancelled that offer and told my old manager that i should work on the same team or i have to leave. I have reported the matter to HR & they are doing investigation. I'm feeling very harassed way the Line Manager was acting, one of my female coworker told me that my LM was asking her about my personal things like why i live alone in the apartment,why i am not social and asking her if i had a girl friend. Also my Line Manager constantly threatened to revoke my Green card processing if i attempted to do an internal transfer. I'm feeling very harassed by all these situations and my last day in company was on November 29. I wanted legal advice regarding my rights .… read more
