I was informed two weeks ago that I had to interview for my own job and was told it was not performance based but due to consolidation. 4 territories were impacted and territory lines were redrawn. I am the sales director for the Great Plains region and the Chicago/Wisconsin region was eliminated. The Great Lakes and Texas regions were also impacted but the process was that I had to interview against the Chicago/Wisconsin region sales director. It was a 29 minute interview and was informed a week later that I was not named the Great Plains Sales Director. 1. 4 territories were impacted and only 2 of us had to interview. I am the only woman sales director in the company. It is a 10B company. They essentially held a scripted 30 min interview (of which I did very well) and then said that the other guy did better so he gets my job. Their is a culture of mistreatment to women and I wonder if I have a case. I have repeatedely been told I set the bar high for my peers and I am currently leading sales against my peers.
