My dad has worked at this windshield glass factory, he is
so my dad has worked at this windshield glass factory, he is 70, when he got hired he used to have a forklift driver license, but it has expired since then, recently, the two forklift drivers were not at work one day, and two loaders were trying to get him to drive the forklift and he told them no and he cant and his license is expired, finally after some more pressure my dad moved a large crate full of glass windshield a few feet to get it out the way, with no damages at all luckily, but then he said no more cause its too much concentration for him, so the two loaders shut down the entire section and blamed it on my dad because he won't drive the forklift , so the manager on duty, sent everyone home on thursday and took everyone's badges in the section and said they'll call him, ever since then they just keep pushing him day by day, i was wondering if in the case of him getting terminated, would it be smart to take on an unfair termination case against his employer? … read more

I currently work for a family owned business LLC total of 3
HELLO. I currently work for a family owned business LLC total of 3 separate business's, 1 glass shop, 2 auto paint shops, different locations. all business is equal, 1 brother runs both paint stores, 2 other brothers run glass shop; all payroll & bills are paid out of glass shop. When it comes to holidays, the paint stores will close extra days, the glass shop will not. The paint stores are ran well, staffed & operated. The glass shop is not ran right, not enough employees, always backed up, always behind, we say the business is not ran by the owners, the business runs the owners! another example is again, the paint store employees are off & paid on Monday, we the glass store is open & working, we are paid our regular pay, no compensation or additional day off, nothing. I have been there 10 years, we have other employees who have been there 30, 15, 5 years & this is ongoing. is this correct, can they do this, is this legal? we have voiced our problem with this to no avail. The work conditions are not good, but long term employees are older, not much we can do when you're over 60. thank you for any input! … read more
