In the stated of Florida. I went ob short term disability back on 10/2/2019. It was to last until 2/4. On 1/31/20, my doctor recommended to extend it another 8 weeks, faxed in the information to Segwick. On this last Friday, I was notified that my extension was denied because they had not gotten the docs from my doctor. I called the doctor and she stated she faxed them on 1/31. She re-faxed them today. I called Sedgwick, who stated they got the docs, reviewed and approved the extension on the phone. I got an email proving it. About an hour ago, I got a call from my employer stating I was terminated for attendance, I talking to them, they stated they they have on their end my claim was denied and closed. I advised it was approved as of today backdating to 2/5. I was told I am losing a huge bonus, just 3 days before it is paid out and a special reward bonus paid next month. What can I do? … read more
