I have a driver that gets paid 25% of the loads on his truck but is responsible for damage up to my deductible is that ok

The employee cannot be held liable for damages. This falls on the company and insurance. Company can reprimand, suspend, terminate, reduce pay going forward; but cannot deduct from the employee.
