I was discriminated at work and I have expressed this to Human Resources.

Lawyer's Assistant: Because employment law varies from place to place, can you tell me what state this is in?

Florida. She laughed and told me she doesn't need to tell me why I didn't get the promotion. Since then I have been pulled into the office and asked why I didn't answer my email while I was sick on Saturday. Today they brought in the company attorney to speak with everyone and now I just received an email for 4 people to meet with him privately for 30 minutes. Should I?

Lawyer's Assistant: Has anything been filed or reported?

I told her why did I not get the promotion? Was it due to my gender?

Lawyer's Assistant: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?

Yes. They did not post the opening. They waited until I went on vacation and when I got back he had the position.

Easy to search and find local options.You want to prepare your case by creating a time line starting from the earliest event. For each event, write down key details and witnesses and if there is a document that relates to it, save it and refer to it. This timeline can be very valuable in narrating your case and presenting it later in a concrete and specific way.By being prepared and pressing your claim, the other side should feel the pressure and consider the risk of losing and legal fees.
