Massachusetts I work for a company that previously had a pension in place. Anyone with that pension can retire after 50. Before I started working there the company froze the pension plan and now only offers 401K. You are fully vested after one year of service. I have been there for almost 3 years and I am 51. I recently asked the benefits person at what age and when you can retire. I have her email response stating after 50 and after 2016 you only need to work for one year. I submitted my retirement email on Friday. It was replied with Congratulations. Just let HR know. I told my boss on Monday am. He told me I can't do that.
