My company stated this past Friday that they will be putting
My company stated this past Friday that they will be putting me on "Furlough" starting today. However, they said that I will need to use up all of my PTO starting today. I am supposed to receive my bonus on Tuesday, May 1st, and they have calculated that my PTO will take me up to April 30, one day prior to May 1st and bonus payout. HR spoke with me and told me that "in the system" it will say that I am on furlough but I will actually be taking PTO. She said that I would get my PTO check on May 8th our regular payroll schedule. They said that I will NOT get my bonus on May 1, because I will be on furlough. They are trying to avoid paying my bonus and entering that I'm on furlough when I'm actually on PTO.
