Customer Question

Hi Pearl My company will be offering voluntary layoff packages when we get back to work next week. I was wondering if I would be eligible for unemployment benefits if I were to accept a package
JA: Because employment law varies from place to place, can you tell me what state this is in?
Customer: Washington state
JA: Has anything been filed or reported?
Customer: it has been reported in the local media it has not happened yet though
JA: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: don't think so thanks Pearl

Yes, but you need the agreement to not provide that you resigned. If so, and company agrees not to contest benefits, you can collect.
