Hello. My name is***** am a US licensed attorney.I am sorry to hear about this unfortunate situation.Unfortunately, generally, if the person is unable to actively look for employment, due to a criminal sentence which confines the person to his residence, then the person would not be eligible to claim any unemployment benefits, until the ability to actively seek employment is restored.I wish you the best of luck!
