I have worked company years in the same boss came

Customer Question

I have worked for a company for 6 years in the same boss came in on Friday and said I am being replaced but they are sending me to a new place 30 miles away for 8 weeks then it's closing down. Can I collect unemployment if I don't take it because of the distance

Yes, I believe you can since the place is ultimately closing down. You would not be eligible in my opinion until the new place closed down and your old site could not take you back. I would say that if the new site was to remain open, refusing to travel 30 extra miles would probably be not considered by the Pennsylvania Unemployment agency as a basis to receive unemployment benefits.
