Customer Question

I was recently hired as director for a large, prestigious company. Can I be forced to share a room with a total stranger (it's a very large company) at a company orientation even though I've offered to pay the difference -- or even the whole amount -- for separator accommodations!?!?!

Although I feel for you as it would be uncomfortable I am not aware of any law that prohibits having same gender employees share a room. However your employer is certainly being a bit unreasonable in not letting you pay for your own room.
