Hello, normally company has broad discretion to terminate however let me raise some exceptions that may apply here.
1. if termination based on your gender, you may pursue a claim through the eeoc, lawyer involvement, court action.
2. if termination based on age, same recourse.
3. if termination violates an employment contract, you may pursue by lawyer negotiation and legal action.
4. In all events a lawyer should be involved to negotiate a severance for you.
Is that helpful and would you like a directory for finding local counsel to represent you?
