Can an employer require you to sign a confidentciality that states they own every area of business even if they did not create or have patents for any areas and you must sign statement or employee will be fired.

An employer may require such a far reaching confidentiality statement as a condition of continued employment. However, if you have a pre-existing employment contract that this new condition would violate, you might have cause to sue for breach of contract under the circumstances.
