I have worked for the State of Washington for 16 years at Western State Hospital. The first 11 years were not too bad. In 2005, I received a dirty joke via the State intranet and I reported it. I later found out that the dirty joke had gone to many of the top supervisors in the hospital including mine. The CEO of the hospital then allowed many of the recipients of the E-mail to retaliate against me by making numerous allegations that were later found to all be unfounded. During the investigation, I was put into a float pool for 3 months and sent to a different ward every day whcih caused me great stress and mental anguish. I sought psychiatric help and psychological help. I have the original e-mail in my possession and have the Doctor bills to show to show what went on.

In 2007, I reported to the State of Washington that I suspected that a supervisor was using his influence to hire members of his family and obtain them all dayshift, Monday through Friday jobs. The State investigated and concluded that the supervisor did not exert his influence at all but it was just pure luck that he and 4 members of his family all had Monday through Friday jobs which coincidentally allowed them all to carpool together from a town about 35 miles away. The State did find that this supervisors son was put into a position that he wasn't qualified for. I have the documentation stating this. I waited for several months for WSH to do something about the son in the position that he was unqualified for and they did absolutly nothing. I then reported this to the Head of Human resources in Olympia. He said that he would look into the matter in an E-mail to me. Within a day of me receiving that E-mail, the very same upper level management person that was responsible for not taking action on the supervisors son, started a sexual harassment claim against me by a co-worker. There was not a valid reason for doing it at this time. I was reassigned to another Ward in the Hospital. The first day that I was there, I was assaulted by the secertary of that Ward. She slapped my hand hard because I reached for a piece of paper that was taped to a desk. This caused me to have chest pain. This was investigated by the Washington State Patrol and found to be inconclusive. I was then immediately placed on the worst ward of the Hospital for 6 months wile I was investigated for the above sexual harassment. During this time, I sought psychiatric and medical care for all the stress. I was placed on several different medications. I have all the paperwork for this. I was initially suicidal about this. This is documented. At the end of the six months it was found that none of the sexual harassment claims were substantiated. I was returned to my ward and had to work with my accuser.
Now in 2010, I just recently found out that my employer has been allowing its Nurse's in the Geriatric section of the hospital to come to work early and "off the clock" start setting up their medications because the old patients are on so many medications, it takes a long time to set them up. Some employee's were probably working as much as 45 minutes a day for free for many, many years. I reported this to JACHO a Federal organization that accredits Hospitals and plays a role in getting my Hospital many millions of dollars in Funding a year(70 million?). JACHO contacted Western State Hospital about the presetting of medications. Western State Hospital apparently told JACHO that the problem was resolved as I have an E_mail back for JACHO that says that. I then requested the records for the medication passes for a day after I received the E-mail back from JACHO. The LPNs were still pre setting up their medications off the clock. I then asked Westen State Hospital to stop the pre setting up of medications off the clock and to research their back records and pay the employees retroactive overtime that they are due. This apparently upset Western State Hospital. They are apparently afraid that I will report to JACHO that they were deceptive in their answer to them and this could potentially jeopardize some of their funding (70 million dollars a year?). They also indicated that they are not real happy about paying retroactive overtime.
At the approximate time that I made the above allegations, WSH severed my State intranet access. I was able to get it opened for a couple of hours and it was immediately severed again. One of my supervisors says that She has no idea why. WSH then put 9 diabetic patients on my Ward. The average per Ward at WSH is 3. They also started sending some of the worst patients in the Hospital to my Ward. At this very time, a RN that I work with pinched me on my left buttock one morning in the break room. I reported this to managment. They investigated and cleared her of the charges in one day. I am now supposed to work with her. I just quit my job. I can't stand it anymore. Do I have any type of case? If I do, what is it potentially worth?
