I have worked for a company for more than 20 years. My issues are complex. I have suffered from severe neck and arm pain for a long time about 15 months ago I agree to go ahead and have the neck surgery. No I never had any accidents etc just developed herniated disc in my c45and 56. I agreed to the surgery because my pain was so bad and my life consisted only of working and spending every other moment in bad miserable due to pain. Just getting through my workday was a major battle. I never attempted to address a repetative stress injury because of fear of my company letting me go. I have been very loyal and over the years due to drama and someone kissing up and talking badly behind my back. After years of loyalty and extremely successful job evaluations and determined ambition I was promoted to a middle management role which I was removed later by lies and determination of a ruthless person wanting my position that I worked damn hard to achieve. I know thats not the topix but I wanted to give lots a detail so you could understand my situation and advise me. I was eventually removed from my role and dropped in a back office where no one was supposed to talk to me. They never cut my very good salary or my car allowance BECAUSE i think they know they had nothing on me and just wanted me out so she could have my job. I think over the next 2 years that I would quit but I hung despite the humilation but I knew deep in my heart I did nothing wrong professionally . I have copies of all the interview my supervisor did with each of my staff members I wasn't supposed to know about them. I was sick the questions were so leading and appalling. I questioned her about having these so called private inviews with staff and explained as a middle manager following corporate direction which in many cases all bad decisions fell on me. I had staff that I was very good to, but when I didn't do what they wanted they really gave it to me up the xxx. I questioned my boss about these interviews and the fact that I didn't have the ability to defend myself and that given the opportunity to these people only wanted to cut me up. they never remember anything good. Moving on and yes I was demoted and eventually working for the girl that wanted my job and successfully landed her goal. Its funny because prior to this happening I heard her tell someone she wanted my job and was going to get it and didnt care who she stepped on to get it. She is a straight up manipulator and plays the game very very well. I will not deny she does her job well as I too do my job well. Here's an example of an incident, I really didn't like the job much and really wanted to apply for a role as a corporate trainer and both CIO and COO told me it would not be possible because they couldn't replace me because I was so valuable in my role. ( isn't that a joke) This company has some serious friendship and inappropriate relationships so there is no one to go to. I can't go anywhere because I have 2 kids and I wont find a job in my area with my salary that I worked very hard to attain.
Sorry I went into so much detail I wanted to give you background about the company I had been diagnosed with neck and arm pain. I did have the surgery 15 months ago and when I was out recovering I was pretty much threatened that if I didnt return to work by that following Monday they would have to let me go. I know alot of my problems were job related but it seems everyone is afraid to address comp with this company so I didnt. I went back to work about 13 months ago and I was feeling fine and now I have had to work lots of overtime due an aquisition and I am suffering neck and arm pain so bad I can't function. I know its from my job. The company is cheap and doesnt invest in quality ergonomic equipment to avoid these issues. So I purchased multiple ergonomic items out of my pocket to try to resolve these issues. My dr tells me my pain has returned as a result of repetive injuries always looking down and back up all day long to process work. My dr said I should go out on compensation as he feels the new issues are work related I'm afraid and I don't know how to address it. I would like to have all my ducks in a row before so they cant fire me before I get my compensation paperwork approved by my dr. I am 46 years old and have no life. My boss won't let me take breaks when I need them because we need to be productive on company time. I am crying everyday with pain in the ladies room. Also my company is a huge culprit of healthcare fraud and if I am successful in getting the compensation I deserve> I plan to address the frauid and compliance issues. Is it possible to keep this question confidential at all due to the delicate nature. Please help me determine how to handle. My children are suffering because they dont have a mother anymore, she struggles through everyday and spends everynight and weekend in bed. I appreciate your time. Please help me I can't live like
