Verified
No LA does not recognize common law marriages for relationships that were inititated within their state. LA requires a formal marriage which is accomplished by obtaining a marriage license with the county clerk's office. It also requires the participation of premarital counseling, and you both must sign a declaratin of intent witnessed by a notary.
