Workplace retaliation and harassment. HR several times.
On June 15th 2018, I returned back to work as a temporary employee in department V of the company that I worked in.In september 2018 a new supervisor began working there. She continually insisted that I convert to a full-time employee, and I told her that I would think about it because the temporary employees were getting paid more than the full-time employees.A few weeks into this same month, I had an altercation with one of my co-workers, nothing major, he made me mad and I took a walk to go and look for my supervisors. Neither were available. I had a huge problem with the leadership in that particular department, so I requested to switch.I moved to department T and remain there still. However, in November I had my transition interview with the new supervisor from department V and another supervisor that I never met from department N. About 30 minutes after the interview my supervisor, supervisor T, pulls me aside and told me that they think I am going to just tough it out, get my school paid for, and leave. They all think I should wait a couple months and try again at a later date. However, there was a communication issue with the recruiting department and my hiring went through the following day, and I became a full-time employee. The issue:Supervisor V, literally spent time trying to convince me to convert, but the minute I decided not to be apart of her department anymore that's when she tried to deny my conversion. Just to be petty. This is the first workplace retaliation case.Department T, the department that I am in is going through it's slow season, and thus is overstaffed. Department V needs workers desperately so I was loaned out on many occasions. One particular day, I was placed on a machine that is massive and hot, I already wasn't feeling well. I ask the Lead in Department V if she could put me on another machine. She said, the business needed me there. I stayed until it was unbearable. I found my supervisor and told him that I was going to go home because I was sick. He said okay, and I left. The Lead hasn't spoken to me since this happened in April 2019. The Lead of Department V is the daughter of one of the managers. The issue:Upon my CFE, which is our yearly review. I received a successful instead of a highly successful. The rating on the CFE determines how much one receives in their bonus payout and how much of a raise you receive.I have nothing on my record. No negative marks, no disciplinary actions. I have applied to other positions, asked to get certified on machines, worked months of overtime because they were understaffed, and much more. Still I received a successful, while others who do have marks on their CFE received a highly successful. Which according to the HR manager, “The managers wouldn't allow the supervisors give someone a highly successful if their were marks on their record.”The managers and directors are the ones who have the final say. Thus, the department V team are retaliating against me for wanting to go to another department and going home sick by giving me a poor rating on my CFE which gives me a lower raise. In continuation, I applied for a machine operator position. I was denied the position. During my feedback meeting my supervisor told me I did great in the interview, nailed it, but management had two concerns. The first one, he felt I got too involved in a situation before reporting it to HR. A girl was being abused by her boyfriend at work, they wouldn't do anything and she was too afraid to go to HR. She asked for help, I stepped in, he turned his bully attacks onto me, I reported it. This was a confidential case between HR myself and the other two parties, this could not be used against me. I never got written up for my involvement, and no one talked to me about it. It wasn't a problem until Management decided they needed payback. I violated no policy. The second one, he said I got assigned to a machine and I didn't stay. He brought up an i… read more
