I believe i only use the web browser

I checked my microsoft account and it says I have 1 terabyte of storage available and my outlook says I only have 5 GB which I am definitely above that

Thank you, ***** ***** believe this is a Microsoft issue so I expect it needs to be resolved by a member of their team. It seems you are a third party technician but I could not access anyone else.

It is completely secure and safe, but this is optional and definitely up to you.

How do you access your email account? Do you go to the website outlook.com on your browser to check your mail or you open an application like Outlook that is downloading the emails for you can see them there? Please clarify how exactly you are checking your email.

Have you checked your storage in Outlook.com, not the Outlook program installed on this computer? Please note that the OneDrive and the email account storage are separate. To check your email account available storage, you need to go to outlook.com and go to the Settings to verify how much space you have.

Have you checked how much storage you are currently using?

You can check that from outlook.com, sign in if you are not already, then go to Settings on the top right > View All Outlook settings then go to General and from there to Storage.

If you have reached the storage limit, you will need to either start deleting emails or purchase more.

Are you getting these notifications as emails delivered to you? f you are getting this notification as an email, then this is possible that this is a scam/phishing email trying to steal your login information. If you have confirmed that you have enough storage as per the guide I sent you above, then you do have more than enough and this is not a legitimate notification that you have received so you can have it deleted.

Unfortunately, I didn't get any response from your side on my question above, but here is what you need to do.

If you have reached the storage limit, you will need to either start deleting emails or purchase more.

If you are using 100% of your storage limit then you are using your entire space and this is why you are not able to receive any new emails and not able to send. In that case, you will need to start deleting emails to free up space.

Please make sure that you are deleting the items from your Trash folder as well. All deleted emails go to the Trash folder once deleted and they are still taking place.

Also, it is important to point out that you should start with deleting the emails with attachments. They are taking more space and the rest of the emails without attachments are not taking much so this is why you didn't see a difference when deleting some.
