Hi Pearl, I cannot send emails. My mail is through bigpond and I have reset the password ***** can receive emails now but can't send. At the same time my husband can't send or receive emails on his laptop. We can get emails through Telstra webmail so they said they can't help. Can you assist?

Hi internet is good and working. We both use the mail icons on our laptops not Outlook

Could you please advise if you were browsing through some web pages or clicked on some link before this started happening? Have you tried to open any web pages or downloaded any attachments on your device that triggered those issues to start?

Could you please advise if you are accessing your email account through the Web browser (Chrome, Firefox etc.) or through email software like Outlook? What program do you access to check your mailbox?

Unfortunately, I didn't get any response from your side on my question above, but here is what you need to do.

This sounds like an issue with your SMTP (Outgoing server settings) not being correct on the mail program or app that you are using.

Please refer to the settings below that you should be using instead:

Outgoing server address: mail.bigpond.com
Outgoing server port: 465 (recommended) or 587
Authentication: Yes
Encrypted connection: With SSL encryption

Once you have this updated in your email application, you should be able to send out.
