I can and do...

I can and do use web mail to send emails. any attempt to send an email through the "normal" Bigpond system stops when "Bigpond Password" is requested but not obtained.I have become most proficient n entering my date of birth etc. with no results. The problem exists on both my main Apple computer and on some Microsoft laptops of various vintages I have. I first thought it was an Apple problem but now believe I have dropped off the Bigpond system. My wife has iPad which works O.K. - fairly recent. I recall that Apple passed us onto Telstra to get it hooked up.

I do not believe the initial problem is with my computer as it occurs on both Apple and Microsoft but in the Telstra data base. Apple did not connect Bigpond but sent us to Telstra on the iPad we bought from them on my wife's name which works fine. I have sat and watched 2 Apple "experts" twiddle with my Apple computer for 2.25 hours. I am still trying to correct problems the last one left behind, 465 emails modified to "unread" for starters. If you cannot fix it I believe I might try a new email entirely.

Apple suggests Safari, I used Firefox when I was a Microsoft user. The Commonwealth Government's program sometimes do not work with safari so I use both without success. The Microsoft laptops I have and have tried to use will not work. Both systems allow me to use and change the Webmail password. I have had 2 Apple contacted technicians spend 1 1/2 hours and 45 minutes playing with my computer while I watched, the results they left me with I am still trying to correct so I believe it is not basically a problem with my computer(s) but in the Telstra system and do not want to repeat the procedure. Did you receive this message ?. Most of theoperationson your shet do not work. I am in rural Australia and did not and did not recognise as American as sme of our websites do not have the .com.au suffix, If had realised this I would not have initiated the question.
