The email you have received is NOT legitimate; rather, it is the gateway to a (n increasingly widespread) phishing scam. The party presents itself as a technical support representative of a well-known technology company, and attempts to convince you that either your computer has a virus or your account has been compromised. The scammer then collects payment information from you to process a several hundred dollar "tech support fee," and then ultimately sells your credit card information on the dark web.
