FYI - Your email provider Verizon recently move its email services to AOL.

I have an aol account but still keep my Verizon domain name so shouldn’t have still to get emails from Verizon too.

Your Verizon email address will keep working on its own, and will not be mixed or merged with your existing AOL email address. They are two accounts not related. What changed for Verizon is: you need to use AOL portal to access it. That's it.
