In that case, you will have to wait up to a few hours before continuing. That is Facebook's policy. You really cannot get around that. If there was a way, I would give it to you.

It all depends on how many times you tried logging in. First, I would wait one hour. If that doesn't work, wait another hour, and repeat.

Well the thing is on tuesday i did get approval code sent but my facebook app kept on crashing so it kept logging me out, then that message came up

That is correct. Be sure not to try and log in for at least 24 hours. That will reset the time.

That should get you going. The trick is that you must wait 24 hours before trying to do anything with the account.

After the 24 hour mark, you may request a new code. At that time, they will send you a new one.

Okay, in that case, you will need to wait the 24 hours. Honestly, the actual wait time is only six hours or so, but sometimes, it is best to wait the full 24 hours just to be sure.

If you request a code three or four times in a short amount of time, it will lock your account.

The number of hours that it locks the account is unknown to us or the user. Facebook uses an algorithm to set the wait time.

It sounds like you waited 12 hours. Please, wait 24 hours. So this time tomorrow, you should be good.

How did she lose it? Before closing your phone account, I would suggest changing the phone number that is attached to your Facebook account or disabling 2nd step authentication before hand.

If you call her old number does the new owner of the number answer it? If so, you may want to work with the new owner of the phone number, explain the situation, and ask them to help you out with the code so that she can recover her account and remove the phone number from her account.

Oh my. Is the phone number still active? How long ago was it stolen? If it was stolen, she can contact her phone provider and have the number moved to a new cell phone.

The code will be sent tomorrow when you request the new code.

They are able to login after 24 hours. Somebody else told you that it is 48 hours, which I have not heard of. But to be safe, you may want to wait the 48 hours.
