Liz ****** 12:18 AM To ***** ***** Quick reply allReplyForwardDelete Hi Jason Back 0n 2/27/18 you helped me reset a few things in Thunderbird and my emails started downloading to Thunderbird and I did not have to go through the Web site to get my email or to send it. On the 16th of March things stopped flowing again. Now my email on my on one of my comcast.net emails is downloading in Thunderbird The older two are not downloading as of 3/16/18. The newest one has settings thare IMAP not pop and 993 not 995 I can change the server Name to IMAP.comcast.net port 993 but not the Server type which comes up POP server. Now what do I do?

iF preferred expert is not available and I can get an answer that corrects since approx 1990. this spans Flash net, road runner, Timewarner, and Comcast. only in the last few months they keep messing with their code and one day it works with Thunderbird and the next not. Their technicians send instructions that are not possible for someone who has no programing history to accomplish.

Do you want to speak someone who started programming at 15?

I would recommend you simply uninstall TB without deleting or touching any of existing profile, then download the latest version of TB, install again using the default settings. Please let me know how it goes. Thanks.

Can I do that with out loosing the email addresses and email documents. i think i ned to take a nap i am now on 20 plus hours awake. 69.9 Years old

Yes, that's what i mean by "without deleting or touching any of existing profile". However, backing up before doing it is very important.

Please see below the offical guide about how to back up your existing profile so you can keep all existing mails safe.
