I am locked out...

I am locked out of my thunderbird account, have changed my google p/w and the two were connected but pop mail server will not accept new p/w. Please help.

Please check your gmail using your web browser.

When you are signed in there on the browser, please click or go to this URL:

https://myaccount.google.com/lesssecureapps

On that page, please click on the slider to turn the setting ON.

After a few seconds, please check your Gmail on the BROWSER again and see if you get the notification about turning ON the setting called "Allow less secure apps". When you get that notification, please close your Thunderbird, open it again, then test if Gmail works this time.
