About 40-50 emails are missing from my account. All of them involved financial accounts . Can I retrieve them? Am I in trouble?

Yes, you can try to recover lost emails under your Gmail account as given under:

A. Please check emails under Deleted emails folders after you login into your gmail webmail account by clicking the link: www.gmail.com

B. If you don't emails under deleted emails folder, pPlease fill out the details under the link given below:

https://support.google.com/mail/contact/missingemails?rd%3D1

After filling out this recovery form, if it asks you to change your email account password, please change it and then fill out this recovery form once again.

Once you fill out the details under the link provided, gmail will recover your emails either immediately or in the next 6-12 hours.
