My computer is asking if I would like to restore computer using system restore and won’t allow touch screen to work so I can touch restore and the wireless mouse isn’t working.

Yes, you can choose System restore and choose nearest possible date.

System restore will not delete any files/picture from the computer.

It will also remove the program you have installed after the date shown there. But, if there is any such program, you can reinstall that.

I can’t get my touchscreen or mouse to respond. I touch the restore on the screen and it won’t work.

I manually cut it off by power button and it came back on with same screen. I touched the restore word but it won’t react.

I think one of the children hit a button because I found it like this.

Please follow these steps once:

A. Turn off the computer by pushing power button.

B. Disconnect Ac Adapter from Mains.

C. And then push and hold down the power button for 30 second to competently discharge it.

D. Connect AC adapter and restart it again.

I turned off computer manually. I unplugged it. I held the power button in for at least 30 seconds. I then plugged it back up and turned it on. Same screen.

No I guess not. The mouse is wireless and not working. There is an arrow on the screen in the box on the computer screen but it won’t move to allow me to choose restore.

I could send you a picture if I had a # to send it to.

1.Turn on your computer and press <Alt> + <F10> during startup. A
screen appears asking you to choose the keyboard layout.
2.Several options are now presented. Click Troubleshoot.
3. Choose Reset your PC.

Something is happening. It seems to be reacting to this, I thought. It has a screen , restore progress but where it says backup files, it’s still at 0 percent and not moving.

No I have a box up saying
Windows setup could not configure windows to run on this computers hardware. ?? I don’t know whether to click ok or not. Also setup is applying system settings under that.

Same screen with box with red x saying could not configure windows on this computers hardware and under that , says system is applying system settings with the light bar moving.

Okay, if this does not work at all, you need to download Windows 7Recovery disck on a DVD using a working computer and then use that to repair your computer:

You can can download it on a DVD using the link given below:

Once you create a dvd, then insert that into gateway computer and boot using this DVD to repair it.
